SilkDimmer

Features

SilkDimmer allows the stepless adjustment of the backlight of PalmOS 5 devices.
Planned features:
  • Replace the default PalmOS brightness dialog.
  • Turn off backlight with a check box.
  • Definition of brightness profiles.
  • Dim backlight after a period of inactivity.
The difference to the default PalmOS brightness is, that SilkDimmer is able to turn off the backlight.

Requirements      

A device running PalmOS 5.x. SilkDimmer has been tested on the following devices:
  • Zire 71
  • Tungsten T
  • Tungsten E

Installation

Install SilkDimmer.prc on your device by performing a hotsync.

Usage

Start SilkDimmer by tapping on its icon in the PalmOS launcher.

Adjust the brightness by dragging the slider to the left (lower brightness) or to the right (higher brightness). If you drag the slider to the left position, the backlight will be turned off. After adjusting the backlight brightness, you can close the application by pushing the Done button. You may replace the default brightness adjustment dialog by setting the Enabled check box.
